Best Way to Start a Blog
This is for my blogging friends. Blogging has opened up so many opportunities for me to "meet" so many new and wonderful people. I seriously believe that the blogging world contains the kindest and most sincere people on the planet. When I started on this crazy journey, I had no idea it was such a close knit community, and I just have to say thank you to all of my new friends for all you have helped me with to get this thing going.
One of the most helpful bloggers I've encountered is Abby from Just a Girl and Her Blog. First off, her blog is one of the happiest places on the web as she fills her pages with optimism and "Random happy thoughts" (there is literally a section titled that), and second off, she has published this amazing eBook that was so helpful to me. You know those times when you are trying to learn something new and you just keep thinking, there has got to be a better way to learn this. Somewhere there has to be a place where all the information I need is in one place and is presented in a way that isn't "information overload". I went through that with blogging. There is so much out there and it was so hard to decipher what I really needed. Then I found Abby's book, Building a Framework.
This is the blogging bible, if I may be so bold. It has all the information one needs to start a blog up, increase traffic, and monetize by working with brands. Before reading it, my design, photo's, social media presence, content, and blogging relationships were seriously lacking due to my ignorance in these areas. I have learned so much since then and my blog has definitely improved. Reading this eBook was the best way to start a blog that I could imagine because it made it so easy.
So, if you are thinking about starting a blog, or have already started on and are looking for help on improving it, this book is what you need. For $24.00, it's a small investment if you consider all the headaches and time that it will save you. Plus, in my opinion, it's a fun read, and that is coming from someone who doesn't spend much leisure time reading.
She also gives these amazing blogging binder printables that I have basically lived out of. They include planning pages, a calendar, checklists, and so much more. (Wow, that really sounded like a commercial, sorry about that).
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
