Lovely Ladder Shelf
I know what you're thinking: another ladder project? How many old ladders did this lady find in her backyard shed? Well, this one is one I'd written about before and am now recycling to suit a different purpose. Remember the ladder shelf solution I came up with? Well, I decided that wasn't working for me anymore. It made that corner too busy and cluttered looking. In another area of the room we had this big wall with very little on it. I'd tried a few different picture arrangements, but nothing seemed to work, then, it hit me! Put the ladder up! The previous owners had left some heavy duty screws in that wall, so I didn't have to bother with searching for studs and getting the screws in right. I did pull them out just a bit to make sure the ladder would stay secure.
I filled this ladder shelf with pictures, mementos from our wedding, and some other odds and ends like that Willow Tree figurine (Love them!). I'm excited to have a place that I can switch things around when I want to (which is often) without putting holes in the wall.
This is what it looks like when you take a step back. It's probably the second thing you'll see when you walk in the door, so I needed the space filled with something beautiful. This fits the bill well, I think.
Best part: it was free! I love not having to shop for decor!
What do you think? I would love to hear what's on your mind when you see all my crazy projects, so feel free to comment below!
The other half of this bad boy is hanging out in our bathroom. Check out the post on it here!
